Hey guys!! Welcome back!!
I have been SO excited to share these pictures with you!! It has taken everything for me to not overload you guys on instagram!! Seriously, this whole project turned out EXACTLY how I imagined!! Now, if only I could master Photoshop, then we would have some REALLY great pictures!;)
As you get to know me, you will slowly start to realize that I usually begin all of my projects with one thing that sparked my creativity and inspiration. I am VERY much a visual person, so when I see something I love, my mind goes CrAzY! In a good way:)
So, what brought this whole photoshoot and mermaid inspo on? The crochet mermaid tail! One of my best friends, Amanda, began crocheting as a hobby and she has TAKEN OFF! She made this masterpiece for Hendley before she was even born and I knew as soon as I saw it that something great was going to come of it!! Of course I immediately jumped on pinterest to figure out how to do a shoot with a newborn. Honestly, Hendley wasn't the easiest baby, so the thought of trying to do all of this when she was eensy was NOT appealing. As I continued my search, I thought it would be so cute to do it when she was able to sit up on her own! So, here is where we are today:)
My mom called me one day and said that she would be at my grandparent's for the weekend. They live on a lake, Hendley is sitting up (and pulling up I might add), SOOOO I figured this would be a great time to tackle this adorbs photoshoot. I ran to Hobby Lobby and got all of the supplies I needed. Together, my mom grandmother, and I made the crown, seashell bra, and tutu in a matter of a few hours!
I am thinking of posting a tutorial on how all of it was made. What do you think?;)
Okay, here is the fun part:) Take a look at my mermaid princess!! Is she not the sweetest little thang?!
