A Day at the Domain -Thanksgiving-
Girls just want to have fun!
So, Texans, are we happy with how the weather was on Thanksgiving? I feel like when Thanksgiving rolls around, the Fall season should surely be here! It's just not right to be eating your Thanksgiving meal in the dead of heat, Amiright?!
Just in the one week I was with family, we experienced what seemed like all the seasons within a few days. Welcome to Texas. However, the weather on Thanksgiving day was absolutely perfect! I so much enjoyed spending time with my family, eating the BEST homemade food, and having the most HILARIOUS conversations. They really are amazing.
Now, I don't want to mislead you. The pictures in this post were not taken on Thanksgiving, however, I feel it appropriate to share these pictures in a "Thanksgiving" post because I am so so SO thankful for my sweet girl and the bond we have. Not pictured is the man behind the camera, my husband, whom I am also extremely thankful for. These two people are my biggest blessings. I have absolutely loved getting to watch Hendley grow. When I get home from work, it is such a joy to sit and watch the way my husband loves and interacts with our daughter. Getting to whiteness her try and accomplish new things as well as her relationship with her father blossom has been one of the most rewarding things.
The three of us have so much fun getting out and exploring the city. Lately, we have been going out to the Domain and spending quite a bit of time out there since they have expanded and added an entire new section of shopping, eating, and areas that are family friendly. One store in particular, Hanna Andersson, I went to three times in one week! The adorable sweater dress and matching bloomers that Hendley is wearing was part of my first purchase at the Domain location. I am a lover of all things vintage and I feel like with the colors, texture, and scalloped edges of this dress definitely brings out that vintage vibe.
Speaking of vintage vibes, can we just take a moment to love my crochet crop top from Pink Blush. My absolute favorite thing about Pink Blush is their aim toward women and their ever-changing bodies. By visiting the link I provided, you will notice on their website that they offer maternity clothing, as well as clothing for the pre and post pregnancy body! This blush crochet crop top made transitioning into fall an absolute BREEZE. See what I did there ;)? As I have mentioned before, it is really hard to know what the weather is going to be like on a day-to-day basis here in Texas. Being a new mom, working part time and staying home with the baby doesn't always make "planning your outfit the day before" possible. I tend to go to my closet and grab some items, put them together, and hope I look presentable. This crop top helps me accomplish my goal of grabbing, wearing, and running out the door. On this particular day, I paired it with a high waisted pleated skirt to dress it up. For a day-to-day look, it would look great paired with jeans and really any type of shoe depending on the weather! I love that the lace and nude blush tone set the mood for fall, while at the same time accommodating to the warmth that comes along mid-day!
Get ready to enjoy some amazingly cute pictures! Oh, and get your mouse ready, there are some links at the bottom that you won't want to miss ;).
